Here, action means obedience to God’s word. Obedience is the visible expression of invisible faith. The fundamental factor that broke the relationship between God and mankind was disobedience. God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but they disobeyed God and touched the forbidden tree. As a result, their relationship with God was broken and they were expelled from the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2–3).
